Showings
We are in the process of setting up
art galleries in our lovely new
narthex. Our first showing will be
in October with gala concert and
music. Performances will be provided
from our very own talented musicians
and friends. (See below)

First
Presbyterian Choir
First Pres Church Choir is open for
anyone from high school up and is
led by
Andrew Haase, M.A. who serves as
Hudson High School’s director of
choral activities. Andy is simply
amazing! He is a gifted singer and
exceptional trained in choral
conduction. The choir consists of
thirty members and steadily growing
much like the church. People of all
skill levels are welcome and reading
music is not a requirement to join
the choir. Andy will teach you! Andy
teaches all aspects of singing
during instruction; it is a sheer
delight to sing with him.
If you are
interested in the choir, come to a
rehearsal to see how much fun choir
can be.
Standard church choir repertoire of
all varieties is sung and the choir
generally sings three out of four
Sundays.
We really share our faith with one
another in singing music!

New Spirit Praise and Worship
Ensemble
A group of
singers and instrumentalists come
together in praising God by singing
contemporary music.

Bell Choirs
Three musical
groups are led by Thema Nagel.
Jubilate Ringers –Open to
everyone in high school or older.
They rehearse weekly and make music
on several octaves of bells.
Wonderful private instruction is
available. Once a month this group
adorns our serves with their music.
Joyful Noise Ringers – Ages
fifth through eighth also play at
services.
Chimers – Third grade through
sixth grade. Precursor to bells with
our youngest
Kristal Bells – For the very
young to the young at heart which
are color coded bells which are
played according to rhythm played
with recorded music. Kristal bells
put a smile on everyone’s face.
The bell choir rehearses at times
convenient to the ringers.

Instrumental Music
Our church has a longstanding
tradition and appreciation of
instrumental music. Amongst our
members and their friends and
colleagues are professional and
amateur brass, string and woodwind
players. They regularly contribute
to the church service. Our church
has a mission of nurturing young
musicians.

Winds
of Joy
First Presbyterian Church’s youth
instrumental ensemble of all young
people in grades 6th
through 12th and their friends. The
ensemble rehearses as needed and
plays from time to time. The group
has a lot of fun together sharing
and honing their musical gifts, as
well as, enjoying an occasional
pizza party. This group is lead by
Carol Law who plays several
instruments and has a large and
diverse musical library. Carol is
enthusiastic, well trained and
talented.
